Okay, it’s official; The New York International Latino Film Festival has announced the dates for the World Premiere of GWB. The dates are as follows: Friday, August 19th at 10:30pm and Saturday, August 20th at 9:30pm. Both showings will take place at AMC Empire 25 (Times Square/234 West 42nd St. New York). Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Tuesday, August 2nd.
Now that we got the dates and times out of the way, let’s get to the essence of this missive. These tickets are going to sell out fast and there will be only a limited amount available, if you don’t cop them early and get yours, well then, you won’t get to see the movie until the theatrical debut. The choice is yours. See the movie that the whole hood is buzzing about when it premieres or at some still undetermined date. Plain and simple!
May I add, the importance of supporting and patronizing the artistic output that is made by, and is about our, neighborhood. “GWB is a film about our neighborhood, made by folks from the neighborhood, that viscerally documents the drama, joys, highs and lows of this dynamic, diverse and vibrant community. With a cast that includes Rayniel Rufino, Antonio Ortiz, Luis Ramos, Raul Esparza, Alexandra Metz and Olga Merediz among many others, this movie aims to capture the sights, sounds, colors and energy of this often forgotten and misrepresented part of Manhattan.” Remember folks “Spread love it’s the Uptown way.”
